Alright, Mae thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

When I became famous and popular after my first shoot, I was told to sell my photos to friends, family, and supporters offline who I met, but I posted them online on social media, business sites, and modeling, and acting sites, and gained a huge following. The following helped me land me jobs, helped me network, and helped me gain some friends.

Mae, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Mae Ocie Riley. I am better known as Mae Riley. I am a model, actress, content creator, speaker, entertainer, artist, writer, business owner, CEO, and President. What sets me apart is my unique looks, passion for life and work, wide range of talents and skills, personality, mentality, and work ethics. I am proud of all the work that I have done. But doing a fashion show where I live as the celebrity guest model and my family was able to watch me was a very proud moment, and working with the college models. I do my very best in everything that I do.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my social media following by constantly posting my work and by interacting with fans and other creatives and those in related career fields. I asked my fans to share my work with their network, I also grew my following from word of mouth by those who I worked with and for giving me recommendations.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Being creative, and performing is very fun and rewarding to me. Its one way that I express myself and it brings me joy. Creating work and performing is also rewarding because it brings many people joy, and it leaves its mark on the world. I love when my family, friends, and supporters see my work especially my daughter. My work will be here long after I am gone.
