Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brisa Gonzaga. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brisa, thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I discovered I had breast cancer when I was 31. It was shocking and took my breath away, but it also became a turning point in my life. A few days after getting the news, I started wondering why this was happening to me. I was young, healthy, and had no family history of cancer. I took it as a wake-up call. I knew I needed to make some major changes and decided to learn from the experience. Parapsychology helped me to make the changes I needed. I’ve always been interested in psychology and have studied it extensively. Despite being in conventional therapy for over 10 years, I still felt stuck. It helped me gain some self-awareness but didn’t lead to significant changes that made me truly happier. That’s when I discovered parapsychology, a different therapy method that changed my life forever. This remarkable encounter helped me overcome emotional obstacles, leading to significant positive changes and a triumphant victory over cancer.
So, if you ask me about the kindest thing anyone has done for me, I’d say that the person who truly made a difference in my life was me. Through self-love and the willingness to change, I created a happier and healthier life for myself.
Others can help, but you are the only one who can make a real difference in your emotional and physical well-being.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a Clinical Therapist – Hypnotherapist originally from Brazil. Before settling in the USA nearly a decade ago, I lived in London and Ireland. After years of studying psychology and facing a cancer diagnose, I realized I needed to delve deeper into my studies. That’s when I discovered parapsychology; a highly effective therapeutic approach that integrates Family Systemic Analysis and Conscious Hypnosis as fundamental methodologies.
This method provides individuals with a comprehensive psychotherapeutic experience, yielding transformative results by aligning their mental potential. It also facilitates profound mind reprogramming through the utilization of hypnosis, creating a serene environment conducive to healing and restoring harmony across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Drawing from psychology, clinical hypnotherapy, Reiki, meditation, and creative visualization techniques, among others, it taps into a holistic array of methods.
By employing this method, individuals can collaboratively set and achieve goals, ranging from breaking free from old habits to cultivating new ones, healing past traumas, and expanding perceptual boundaries. Through conscious and subconscious engagement with the vast potential of the mind, this approach empowers individuals to embark on a transformative journey.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Through the journey to overcome cancer, I realized my true calling in life. Parapsychology didn’t just help me heal; it ignited a passion within me to help others find their own paths to healing and fulfillment. Today, I live my purpose by guiding others through their own journeys of self-discovery and emotional healing. This experience taught me the power of resilience and the importance of pursuing what truly makes us whole. It’s a testament to how adversity can lead to profound personal growth and a more meaningful life.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was being a people pleaser and always putting others’ happiness ahead of my own. Growing up, I was conditioned to believe that my worth was tied to how much I could do for others. I would constantly go out of my way to accommodate everyone’s needs, often at the expense of my own well-being. This behavior carried into my adult life, leaving me feeling exhausted, unappreciated, and disconnected from my true self.
The turning point came when I realized that my constant need to please others was taking a toll on my mental and emotional health. I began to understand that saying “no” when necessary was not a sign of selfishness but a crucial act of self-care. It took time and effort, but I learned to set healthy boundaries and prioritize my own needs and happiness. This shift allowed me to foster more genuine and balanced relationships, where mutual respect and understanding replaced the unspoken expectation for me to always accommodate. Unlearning the habit of people-pleasing has been liberating, enabling me to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.
